Bollards are among the most frequently used forms of access control – and for good reason. After all, bollards are perfect for a wide range of applications. Our bollards enable flexible, reliable traffic control.
With custom control concepts and combinations of different bollard versions, we can create solutions tailored precisely to your requirements. To ensure a high degree of stability as well as resistance to temperature fluctuations and weather, our bollards undergo comprehensive quality and security testing.
Our bollards are characterised by compact, flexible fitting and can be raised within just 1.5 seconds in an emergency, depending on the model. All cylinders of our Security Line and High Security Line bollards are identical in appearance. In conjunction with matching bottom plates, bollards from both product lines can be ideally combined to obtain a uniform appearance for a building or compound. Due to the identical exterior design of the different bollard versions and their subtle look, they can be harmoniously integrated into an existing overall concept without threatening the cityscape.
Our Security Line offers bollards for everyday access control, for example for private parking spaces, access to commercial properties or pedestrian areas. The Security Line includes automatic, semi-automatic, removable and fixed bollards. In addition, we also offer reinforced bollards with an increased protection level.
Our High Security Line is the right choice for securing especially sensitive areas with the highest of safety demands. The automatic, removable or fixed bollards have international security certifications or meet their requirements.
Bollards - security levels at a glance
The security provided by a bollard is measured based on different impact energies. The energy with which a vehicle makes impact is dependent on the vehicle type, weight and speed. The impact energy is decisive for damage to and function of the bollard.
Impact energy with destruction
This value indicates what speed of a specific vehicle type the bollard can resist. If, for example, a vehicle weighing 1200 kg hits the bollard at a speed of 57 km/h (see graphic), permanent damage can be caused to the mechanisms and construction of the bollard, meaning that the bollard needs to be replaced after the crash. In the majority of cases, passage would be prevented.
Impact energy without destruction
This value indicates that a collision of this vehicle type moving at a specific maximum speed is stopped and no damage will result to the mechanism or construction of the bollard. For example, if a vehicle weighing 1200 kg hits the bollard at a speed of 25 km/h, the function and safety of the bollard would be maintained.
Automatic bollards
Automatic bollards have the advantage that they can quickly be lowered into the ground as needed without physical effort and be raised just as quickly. Individual cars can easily be granted temporary access. Otherwise, traffic is prevented effectively. Our automatic bollards are available in different versions depending on the security needs and frequency of use.
Automatic bollards in our Security Line:
- Automatic bollards with integrated electromechanical operator for average frequency of use (approx. 100 movements per day, 200,000 movements in total).
- Automatic bollards with integrated hydraulic operator for high frequency of use (approx. 2,000 movements per day, 3,000,000 movements in total).
- Automatic bollards with reinforced cylinder material, increased resistance and integrated hydraulic operator for high frequency of use (approx. 2,000 movements per day, 3,000,000 movements in total).

Custom-configurable control concepts ensure tailored perimeter protection solutions. For example, you can opt for a control based on the master/slave model, meaning one automatic bollard controls multiple other automatic bollards, which follow its command. Depending on the passage width, a wide range of bollards can be combined and actuated in this way. In addition, the controller can be expanded to include control elements (such as code switches) and / or further activating kits, such as for induction loops.
Semi-automatic bollards
Our semi-automatic bollards are suitable for all applications with low frequencies of use (approx. 5 movements per day, 3,000,000 movements in total).
Use our semi-automatic bollards to reserve parking spaces in your company’s parking lot, for example. The extended bollard prevents unauthorised vehicles from parking in the space. By contrast, individuals with parking permits can use the space trouble-free by manually lowering the bollard.
Our semi-automatic bollards are equipped with a gas spring and so they do not need a power supply. The bollards can be lowered by pushing them down manually and raised automatically after unlocking by the integrated gas spring.
Removable bollards
Our removable bollards are the right choice for entrances used very rarely (approx. 2 movements per day).
For example, use our bollards to secure areas that are locked for a majority of the day but have to be accessible at a specific time. One conceivable application, for example, is at event locations with entrances that should be locked and opened at very specific times.
If a situation requires the bollard to be removed spontaneously, for example to allow an emergency vehicle to pass, Security Line bollards can easily be disassembled without any tools.
Optionally, you can also select the removable bollards from our High Security Line with reinforced base. These are disassembled using special tools.
Fixed bollards
If you want to restrict access to specific areas permanently, our fixed bollards are the best choice. They are primarily suitable for permanently protecting an area, for example a pedestrian area where no car traffic is permitted and no delivery vehicles require access. In case of damage or an exceptional event, our fixed bollards with bottom plate can easily be disassembled.

Our Security Line offers fixed bollards with bottom plate, bollards with ground anchor or bollards with reinforced ground fitting.
The High Security Line also includes fixed bollards with reinforced ground fitting cast in concrete, meeting the highest of security needs.

Compact and flexible fitting
Bollards with integrated hydraulic operators have all their functional components compactly built into the bollard unit. The integrated hydraulic system requires only small oil quantities, which poses far less of a risk to the environment. Biologically degradable oil is also available as an option to reduce the environmental risk to zero.
A further advantage is the fact that the control can be installed up to 80 metres away from the bollard when connected to a power / connection cable.
Matching bollard versions
For a personalised combination of bollards from the Security and High Security Line, all bollard cylinders are identical in appearance. This means that fixed, semi-automatic and automatic bollards can be perfectly combined by choosing matching bottom plates – ensuring a harmonious overall appearance.
Rapid security in case of emergencies
Free access doesn’t have to mean a risk to security. With the EFO emergency function (Emergency Fast Operation), the lowered bollards are raised in approximately just 1.5 seconds, providing rapid security in emergency situations.
Individual control concepts
A control allows complete control concepts involving several bollards, for example, to be combined. This concept enables master and slave relationships to be configured between the bollards. The control is connected by means of maintenance-friendly quick-connecting terminals. These simplify fitting and make future maintenance work easier. In addition, the control can be expanded to include control elements (such as code switches) and / or further activating kits, such as for induction loops.
